JACK BLAIR

CLASS OF '78

YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2010

From his days as a student-athlete through to today where he is a successful businessman, Jack Blair Jr. has made a habit of rising through the ranks.

Jack captained a squad that was voted as one of the Teams of the Century by The Star-Ledger in 2000. While earning all-state recognition, Blair had 20 assists and seven goals as the central midfielder on the 24-0-0 squad that set a Spartan mark for greatness – the nationally recognized 1977 boys’ soccer team.

Blair helped the Spartans amass a won-lost record of 85-6-3 from 1975-77.

A three-year member of the National Honor Society, who also was involved with diving at SHS, Jack received the Wilkerson Scholar-Athlete award.

There were additional academics and more soccer for Blair to excel at when he was a student-athlete at Princeton University from 1978-82. A four-time All-Ivy selection, he helped the Tigers post a win in the NCAA tournament in 1979. He graduated with a degree in psychology from Princeton in 1982.

He then went to work in the family business and moved up the ladder from a sales position to lead the company.
