YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2012



Jerry Buron participated in track and field and basketball but it was football that earned him the most acclaim, including all-state recognition in 1961. He won six varsity letters, including three in football, the sport he went on to play at Trinidad State. Buron retired after 37 years in education and lives in Washington State with Carolyn, his wife of 45 years.

He was a head football coach at a high school in Grangeville, Idaho, and also was an assistant at Bordentown H.S.

He also was a football official at the NCAA Division I level in the Big Sky Conference and also officiated at high school games in New Jersey and Idaho.
