LUANNE CHRISTIANO

CLASS OF '78

YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2008

Medals and ribbons that the fleet-of-foot girl won at local meets all the way up to victories at the national level melted into a lumpy mess the day the Christiano family home was ruined in a fire. Her AAU and Junior Olympics medals were unsalvageable. However she was never one to dwell on the negative.

Goal scoring and running fast were always two of her strongest attributes. She was an all-star track and field participant with a nose for the goal in soccer. She ran with and against the boys in cross country as a sophomore and junior. She dealt with the situation well enough to earn varsity letters. In her senior year, she was a member of the inaugural Girls' soccer team where she served as team captain leading the squad in goals. Currently she resides in South Florida.
