Pittaro is considered the greatest female soccer player to ever wear the Green and White. She was an All-American for three straight years and All-State and All-County all four years she played. Lisa was also a three-year varsity performer in softball and a two-year varsity player in basketball, winning All-County honors in both sports. Pittaro went on to George Mason University, where she captained an NCAA national championship team and earned Women’s Player of the Year honors in 1985. She was named to the NCAA Women’s Collegiate Team of the Decade, and served as captain of the U.S. National Youth Team in 1980-81.

Lisa went on to play for the U.S. Women’s National Team from 1985-89, while also playing for the Women’s National Championship Open Division Club Team and the U.S. Olympic Festival Women’s Soccer Team. She played professionally for the New Jersey Wildcats and Maryland Pride, and was a member of the Over-30 Women’s national championship team. Pittaro is a member of the Mercer County Athletic Hall of Fame and Mercer County Soccer Hall of Fame.
