YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2012



A tri-captain of the undefeated Steinert soccer team in 1969, Gribbin led the Spartans to an 18-0-2 record and a state Group IV co-championship.

The all-state player moved on to the University of Pennsylvania where he led the Quakers to league and regional championships. A two-time All-Ivy selection, Gribbin was voted to the University of Pennsylvania All-Decade Team for 1965-1974. The Quakers' run from 1971-73 was special as they compiled a 47-6-1 record and finished in the Top 10 in Division IA nationally highlighted by a No. 2 showing in 1972.

Other notable recognition for Gribbin on the soccer pitch came with the N.J. State Amateur Cup championship with GAK in 1971-72.

He also played professionally in the North American Soccer League with the Baltimore Comets in 1974.
