Kutovy was a four year member of the Steinert track and field team and earned All-American recognition
during a special time in his life when he won three major championships when he was a senior.
He received medals as the individual national javelin champion and he also won that event at the
prestigious Golden West and Keebler Invitationals.
He moved on to a four-year varsity career at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He still
lives in Nebraska. He hasn’t picked up a javelin since graduating from college but he does ride
mountain bikes and plays Frisbee golf to stay in shape.
